I don't recall saying that it would be government doing all of that. As with the Mercury/Gemini/Apollo programs, the government would be funding it. Private contractors would design it, build it, launch it, and crew it. I also don't recall that we yet discussed methods of reducing any graft or corruption. I do believe that we, as Americans, can accomplish those programs to the benefit of our Nation.
So many Freepers are so very cynical, which is one of the reasons civilizations collapse.
When and if the private sector sees a return on investment in going to the moon, I will by default (index funds) be a backer.
In the mean time, some poor waitress trying to feed her kids should not be funding YOUR pipe dreams.
