The US has a better understanding of the conditions under which Russia would be prepared to end its war in Ukraine after President Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday.
"For the first time perhaps since this administration began, we have some concrete examples of the kinds of things that Russia would ask for in order to end the war," Rubio said in an interview with Fox Business Network's Kudlow, adding that the key elements of any agreement would involve territory.
He added that he doesn't know if the reported meeting between Trump and Putin will happen next week, and that it depends on how much progress both sides can make.
Additionally, when asked if Trump would impose secondary sanctions on Russia on Friday, as the US president had threatened last week, Rubio responded that Trump would make that decision within the next 24-36 hours.

The usual Kremlin Bolshevism: what’s mine is mine and what is yours is negotiatable. Shame on any American conservative duped by the geopolitical finger painting of Putin’s regime.
When Russia collapses, Turkey (or the New Ottoman Empire) will get it all.

The Wagner Group is named after 19th century German composer Richard Wagner, whose music Adolf Hitler adored. In a photo that first emerged on Russian VK accounts and a Telegram group associated with the mercenaries, the group’s leader, Dmitry Utkin, dons neo-Nazi tattoos, including a swastika, Waffen SS lightning bolts, and a Reichsadler Eagle. Wagner mercenaries have reportedly left behind neo-Nazi propaganda in the conflict zones they have meddled in. In Libya, pictures appeared of Wagner combatants, some garbed in German World War II uniforms, purportedly re-enacting scenes from Rommel’s operation against British troops in Libya in 1942.
The Wagner Group been heavily involved in Russia’s protracted war on Ukraine. Its units aided Putin’s illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014 and rebelled alongside pro-Russia separatists in eastern Ukraine. They have also been operating in the present conflict, with dozens of Wagner mercenaries pulled from the Central African Republic to join Russian forces amassing in Ukraine.
There is also the neo-Nazi, white supremacist group the Russian Imperial Movement (RIM), which the U.S. State Department designated a terrorist organisation in 2020. With the Kremlin’s implicit authorisation, the RIM operates paramilitary camps near St. Petersburg, in which neo-Nazis and white supremacists from across Europe are instructed in terrorist tactics.
Putin also utilises neo-Nazi organisations beyond warfare operations. An essential element of the Kremlin’s crusade to manipulate cracks in the West is exploiting transnational white supremacist movements to endorse racially and ethnically inspired violent extremism. Russia serves as a sanctuary and networking hub for far-right extremists, with one of America’s most infamous neo-Nazis finding refuge there. Rinaldo Nazzaro, leader of The Base, an American neo-Nazi, white supremacist paramilitary organisation, lives in Russia and guides the group from St. Petersburg.

Trump knows if the Root Causes are addressed, NATO will never set one foot in Ukraine again.
Trumpstein has legitimately problems thanks to the Dutch/Brits nuking him with Esptein.
Trump must break The royal families of Europe, the British and Netherlands, to talk to putin directly.
Ukraine will be vastly different in less than 100 days. Their military is no longer combat effective.
The Putin offer of no drones would completely disarmed Ukrainian defensive positions due manpower shortages... the missile strikes also ending removes any future strikes into Russia. Putin offered Trump destruction terms for combat operations and Russia could be in Kiev in 6 weeks if Ukraine had no drones.
Trump owns the war he is losing, has lost.

If Russia does fall apart, China almost certainly will take all of Siberia (as in 2/3’s of present-day Russia).
I wonder how the Neocons plan to deal with that new mega-country that they would have created.
I’m through predicting but there is little Trump can offer to Russia short of pulling our troops out of Europe, and Trump doesn’t seem to show any inclination to do that.
From the Russian standpoint, they’ll try to creative for Trump (such as proposing an air war cease-fire), but they’re going going to get tricked into another freeze as they did in 2014. They’ve lost far too many men to allow the Neocons to restart their war, when they feel ready and they know that, while the next Neocon war might start in Ukraine, it could easily spread to all of Europe.
So the war either ends on Russia’s terms, or it doesn’t end, until all of Ukraine is taken by Russia.
