Supporters of the Democrats are mentally ill. At this point, the Democrats would actually lose their current base if they attempted to shift to policies that were not insane.
That’s the problem. They can’t shift their policies. When everything is a great civil rights cause, people who disagree are evil and any means necessary are to be employed to win your position, even their dimmest supporters won’t tolerate it if they make an about face
