The way I understand it, the scope wasn’t even properly mounted to the receiver, just tapped on. I don’t it could hold any zero, although it could certainly kill at a closer range. IIRC, there were a few other weird things going on with that gun as well. I keep thinking he wanted to make a point that even with a junky weapon he could still kill. But the guy is nuts, so who knows?
I can’t tell from the photo if the scope mount has a look-through feature for using open iron sights, or not. The SKS is mechanically sound. Send a bullet on its way, and it does the work.
