When I was in grade school, our English book was full of heroic stories, inspiring quotes, and wholesome poetry. When we diagrammed sentences, participated in choral reading, or analyzed paragraphs, we were imprinting greatness and exceptionalism into our minds and hearts. Look at the cover: great Americans passing on greatness. I still have mine and I still love it.

I had Voyages in English too but don’t recognize the cover. Years before you. Loved diagramming sentences. When we started homeschooling our daughter first grade 1996?? Seton used Voyages in English in all grades.

We also had the “Voyages in English” series. I loved those books.
