One thing I find strange is that Pope Leo immediately sent a statement.
The local bishop read it to the press and it was already on a large proclamation-type folder.
Did the bishop mount it?
How was the statement prepared, and sent, so quickly? Emailed?
Was it so fast because he’s American?
Usually a Pope takes quite a while to make statements.
