I understand Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba wanting to leave Canada and become independent sovereignties. I never understood BC being part of the Wexit group because it hasn’t had a conservative premier for almost 100 years and, instead, consistently elects liberals at best, and usually socialists. One of these things is not like the others.

“They” say the interior is much more conservative than the lower mainland and the Peoples’ Republic of Vancouver Island and that may be somewhat true. When I lived in the Kootenays during the 1070’s and 80’s they were all over the map. They’d send PC’s to Ottawa and NDP’s to Victoria.
A lot of union voters in that area. Striking coal miners were a major contributor to the failure of my restaurant in Fernie.
