Have you investigated botox injections to reduce the frequency or severity of your migraines? I played competitive golf with a woman who administered these shots in her practice and she told me and others that many people find a significant amount of relief. Other conditions I’ve heard her say botox can improve are incontinence, vaginismus and excessive sweating. Apparently, it’s not just for wrinkles any more.

Apparently, it’s not just for wrinkles any more.

Botox improves incontinence, vaginismus, and excessive sweating by temporarily paralyzing the muscles responsible for these conditions.

1. Incontinence: Botox is injected into the bladder wall to reduce muscle spasms that cause urinary leakage. By relaxing the detrusor muscle, it increases bladder capacity and reduces involuntary contractions.

2. Vaginismus: Injecting Botox into the pelvic floor muscles can help relax them, reducing painful spasms that prevent penetration during sex. This allows for more comfortable intercourse.

3. Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis): Botox blocks nerve signals to sweat glands in areas like armpits or palms, significantly reducing sweat production for several months until nerve regeneration occurs. In all cases, Botox’s neurotoxic effect disrupts neurotransmitter release at neuromuscular junctions, leading to temporary muscle paralysis and symptom relief until the toxin is degraded naturally by the body over time.

No, I haven’t investigated Botox for migraines.

Usually, stress, lack of sleep or forgetting to eat causes them. I just went to a sleep specialist and I’m taking so allergy drops to solve my mild snoring issue. Which is helping the sleep part but every now and then I can’t turn my brain off.
