I have two brothers and one sister still in Nova Scotia. My sister and I became closer during covid when she also refused to be vaccinated, at my urging. She’s become more knowledgeable about the world in the last 5 years, doesn’t watch or believe the news media, and told me that she thinks the fires are being deliberately set and the government doesn’t want to profile the arsonists and only keep THEM out of the forests. My brothers are obedient slaves to the governments and media and they’re saying it’s just too dangerous for anyone to be in the dry forests because the fires are breaking out spontaneously because of climate change, doncha know, and the government doesn’t want to have to rescue innocent people surrounded by climate change fires. I no longer trust most authority figures, and never the news or governments, so I’m with my sister on this one. If the governments weren’t messing with the weather in the first place, it would rain more and this wouldn’t even be a possibility. We’re in a prolonged drought in Canada, almost unheard of in Nova Scotia, where it used to rain about every third day. It’s been 6-7 weeks since we’ve had any measurable rain in either southern Ontario and Nova Scotia, probably many other areas as well. Maybe they’re planning to burn us all out of our homes, like California and Hawaii did.
