Rita; The information about Epstein "poaching" young women working at Mara Lago has been known for some time.

I think that a lot of the frustration over Epstein stems from the fact that everyone wants "all the files released" which should not happen if a District Attorney does not intend or cannot legally prosecute someone. There is a presumption of innocence which extends to all Americans. You do not want to go around destroying people with raw information that may not or does not rise to the level of a crime. Not everyone who was invited to his island necessarily was a participant. Most will find this very unsatisfying and it will just feed their suspicions of a cover up. If you trust your DA...I am sort of unsure about Bondi but not about Trump...then at some point you have to just leave them to their work and hope they and their staff are honest and good, and "Give it to Jesus", and concentrate on what you can change.

***beung so taken in by his tenure abroad among gangsters just like him***

It is rumored that Smith earned more than his breakfast in his Kosovo investigations. If I remember correctly, SCOTUS unanimously overturned his conviction of Republican Governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell for Smith's questionable ethics practices... (...and remember Smith was appointed head of the DoJ's Public Integrity Section!)

Smith has a record of failed, botched, and/or suspect prosecutions against prominent public figures.

Examples:

Among his more notable corruption cases, Smith prosecuted the former governor of Virginia, Robert McDonnell, a Republican. Although Smith scored a conviction against McDonnell, the case was later overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in a unanimous 8-0 decision. The Court observed that “there is no doubt that this case is distasteful; it may be worse than that. But our concern is not with tawdry tales of Ferraris, Rolexes, and ball gowns. It is instead with the broader legal implications of the Government’s boundless interpretation of the federal bribery statute.” (Politico, 6/27/16). The High Court also rebuked Smith and warned that “the uncontrolled power of criminal prosecutors is a threat to our separation of powers.”

Smith prosecuted and convicted former Democrat vice presidential nominee John Edwards. “By not losing on any of the six felony counts for which he was being tried, John Edwards won the biggest victory of his political and legal life . . . A mistrial on five counts and an acquittal on one resulted in a clear — if not complete — legal vindication and a likely fatal setback for federal prosecutors seeking to convict the former U.S. senator and 2004 Democratic vice presidential nominee for allegedly violating the Federal Election Campaign Act.” (U.S. News, June 1, 2012).

Smith prosecuted Democrat Bob Menendez on public corruption charges. The case ended in a mistrial. “The way this case started was wrong, the way it was investigated was wrong, the way it was prosecuted was wrong, and the way it was tried was wrong as well,” Menendez said outside the courtroom at the time.” (Washington Examiner, 6/5/23).

AI in Wyoming may soon use more electricity than state’s human residents

https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2025/07/ai-in-wyoming-may-soon-use-more-electricity-than-states-human-residents/

Excerpt:

On Monday, Mayor Patrick Collins of Cheyenne, Wyoming, announced plans for an AI data center that would consume more electricity than all homes in the state combined, according to The Associated Press. The facility, a joint venture between energy infrastructure company Tallgrass and AI data center developer Crusoe, would start at 1.8 gigawatts and scale up to 10 gigawatts of power use.

The project’s energy demands are difficult to overstate for Wyoming, the least populous US state. The initial 1.8-gigawatt phase, consuming 15.8 terawatt-hours (TWh) annually, is more than five times the electricity used by every household in the state combined. That figure represents 91 percent of the 17.3 TWh currently consumed by all of Wyoming’s residential, commercial, and industrial sectors combined. At its full 10-gigawatt capacity, the proposed data center would consume 87.6 TWh of electricity annually—double the 43.2 TWh the entire state currently generates.

Because drawing this much power from the public grid is untenable, the project will rely on its own dedicated gas generation and renewable energy sources, according to Collins and company officials. However, this massive local demand for electricity—even if self-generated—represents a fundamental shift for a state that currently sends nearly 60 percent of its generated power to other states.

Trump Administration Halts Controversial Muleshoe Wildlife Refuge Expansion

The Biden administration plan sought to acquire hundreds of thousands of acres in West Texas.

https://texasscorecard.com/federal/trump-administration-halts-controversial-muleshoe-wildlife-refuge-expansion/

Excerpt:

The Trump administration’s U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has officially withdrawn the Land Protection Plan that would have enabled a dramatic expansion of the Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge in West Texas, a move celebrated by Texas lawmakers and land rights advocates as a major victory for private property rights.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced the withdrawal on Wednesday, with Service Principal Deputy Director Justin Shirley explaining it is “consistent with the priorities of the Trump administration” by “reducing regulatory burdens, strengthening partnerships with state and local stakeholders, and ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.”

Originally finalized under the Biden administration, the Muleshoe Land Protection Plan would have allowed the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to expand the refuge from its current 6,440 acres to up to 700,000 acres—an increase of over 10,000 percent—by purchasing land or acquiring conservation easements from willing sellers across a vast area of Texas and New Mexico.

.....The project engendered strong opposition from Texas representatives, including House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (R–Lubbock), who played a pivotal role in the reversal.

.....Arrington praised the Trump Administration for listening to Texans and halting the plan, highlighting the need to “defend our tax dollars, private property rights, and way of life.”

Margaret Byfield, executive director of American Stewards of Liberty, thanked both President Trump and Arrington for protecting the property rights of Texans, describing the halted plan as a key reversal of the 30×30 agenda.

The Trump administration’s action means the federal government will not seek to acquire additional lands or submit land acquisition proposals for the refuge’s expansion boundary, allaying the concerns of local communities across West Texas.

Rep Norma Torres is freaking out cuz she was just denied entry to an ICE facility. This is the same woman said ICE should “get the f*** out of LA.”

She wants violence and chaos.

She shouldn’t be anywhere near ICE or their facilities.

Norma says she’s ready for her close-up: https://x.com/libsoftiktok/status/1951028007352598560
