Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday told U.S. President Donald Trump to remember that Moscow possessed Soviet-era nuclear strike capabilities of last resort after Trump told Medvedev to "watch his words".
-snip-
"If some words from the former president of Russia trigger such a nervous reaction from the high-and-mighty president of the United States, then Russia is doing everything right and will continue to proceed along its own path," Medvedev said in a post on Telegram.
Trump should remember, he said, "how dangerous the fabled 'Dead Hand' can be," a reference to a secretive semi-automated Russian command system designed to launch Moscow's nuclear missiles if its leadership had been taken out in a decapitating strike by a foe.

It’s just rhetoric. The is no way Russia would destroy themselves over a trade deal and a cease fire. They may launch one or two at unpopulated areas, however with existing defensive technology, the US will see the launch and probably intercept the missiles.
Here is the issue. If the US intercepts incoming Russian nukes, does the US then get a free shot at Russia? Especially since the US isn’t at war with Russia.
It’s an empty threat meant to scare the US. You do not do that to Trump.
Trump will retaliate by tightening some economic screws that will make Russia feel pain.
“Sorry, I don’t let the Neocons, Democrats, WEF, and Europeans choose my enemies.”
There is no enemies here. Only perceived. Trump isn’t falling for neocon antics. Russia needs the US more than the US needs Russia. Tossing nukes into the equation is rhetoric. Medvedev and Putin do not want to die. However, the fact they want to put their population in danger tells Trump everything he needs to know. We can survive a $10 dollar drop in oil prices. The Russians can’t.
Trump told Medvedev to “watch his words”
Schoolyard taunts.
Your side is making a big mistake by supporting Russia instead of President Trump.
So your suggestion to end the war is to just surrender to pitin’s demands? Chamberlain would concur.
1 million+ Russians dead and wounded to “save” Russians from “persecution”
Seems fair😎
Your side is on the wrong side by choosing Russia over President Trump. Not a good look.
One of the best movies ever made, remember first time seeing this as a kid and not understanding the satire.
So many memorable quotes “ do you think I would carry loose change into combat “
“No fighting in the war room”
“POE”…..
Medvedev is Russia’s Lindsey Graham without the dress and high heels.
Does this guy just wander around mumbling about nuclear war? What a moron.
It’s been over three years and Russia is feckless in dispatching that Ukranian idiot. Medved is only betraying how weak and afraid they are. Yet, I don’t doubt that they are stupid and dangerous.
“”””He did end the war, at least on our end.”””””
What are you talking about?
I don’t know. It sounded right when I said it, but it’s early.
“So your suggestion to end the war is to just surrender to pitin’s demands?”
Not my solution, the solution of Trump’s campaign. Trump said he would end the war and had plenty of people who told him that the war only ends ONE WAY.
Trump, instead, chose to throw in his lot with Lindsey Graham - Graham may be a hero to you guys, but he certainly isn’t a hero to MAGA.
“Trump isn’t falling for neocon antics.”
LOL!!!! What’s different about Trump’s approach to Ukraine and Lindsey Graham’s approach?
I voted for MAGA.
I’ve had that experience, the pre-coffee post is a real thing.
“He also said his motivation was to end the killing. When Putin was given a chance to end killing and talk, he increased the killing pace.”
Trump didn’t QUALIFY his position, he said he would END IT. He chose not to and instead get us into a new FOREVER WAR.
Always with the negative waves Medvedev! I wonder if this guy threatens to nuke the coffee table he stubs his toe on.
