I was just coming back to correct that! ;)
I know that’s your hobby horse, but it was part of the larger whole to make American men, though Americans in general, more pliable and less numerous.
We know what chemicals, a sedentary lifestyle and obesity do. That “feminism” did it as well, could somehow be the case—but you don’t have a shred of evidence for it. Feminism was to blow up the family and make women have fewer babies, then, per the usual, picked up and advanced by true believers and those simply supporting equal women rights (which clearly many FR men resent).
I read an article awhile back that most of the medication we take ends up leaving our body thru urine. That said the many on birth control pills (female hormone estrogen) leaves the body and ends up in our drinking water. Could be a connection. I live rural Wisconsin where many have wells. We don’t have as many feminine men.
LOL. Both my boomer parents had beer procurers, boys with profuse natural fur. I have heard some of the PG-rated stories of how they raised funds, organized parties, and gratefully rewarded their hairy agents. This would have been long before carding. Body hair was the thicket...er, ticket.
Perhaps you are too young to have seen the 60 year process as females entered the factories and police and military and softened everything, changed the universities to the point they went from mostly male, to mostly female, female paratroopers, famous all male bars and clubs sued and losing their cases.
The pressure to make men more pliable as you describe, was always from the new female rights and presence, feminism and the government and law that advanced feminism.
Feminism was about everything, not just the family, “equal rights” was the ax they took to America.
Without a doubt.
Although the drinking age was 21, I had a credit account at the largest liquor store in my area and was accepted in bars at age 17.
Nothing that bringing back The Draft can’t fix.
“Estrogen in the drinking water. Conventional wastewater treatment plants are not specifically designed to remove these micropollutants, including estrogens.”
100%. We are drinking oral birth control.
Today, it is really hard to find a local teenage boy that even knows HOW to do physical labor.
Agree to many toys has a part in it computers cell phones TV.............
Men adopting “The Playboy Philosophy” in the 60s, opened the door for Feminism.
Doctors have been part of the issue. Recently the FDA removed the warnings that testosterone treatment can cause prostate cancer and heart problems. Studies proved those assumptions to be wrong, yet American doctors still claim testotorne treatments are bad. In the EU and Asia doctors will start men on testotorne in their 50s to help prevent or slow down normal old age health issues.
I workout but noticed muscle loss with increase in fat. Went to GP he said just a fact of life getting old. VA Doc same garbage. Finally found a geriatrics doctor who is not opposed to hormone replacement. All previous blood tests showed very low but normal levels for my age. Too low to sustain muscle mass, and prevent old age issues like tired all the time etc…. The geriatric specialist point out what the other doctors ignored. As one hormone level drops, it is replaced by another. In this case estrogen. GP never looked at estrogen levels. They were so high, my wife saw them, laughed and asked if I wanted to go shopping. I hate shopping! Anyway, he put me on hormone replacement with estrogen blockers. Plus a medication to stimulate my own testosterone production. Results are amazing. No I am not a rutting buck chasing skirts. Basically, my high end testosterone level is the low end level of the average man ten to fifteen years younger than me. Will never get muscle mass back, but I am slowing that process and losing weight.
Our parents used to tell us to go outside, and I don’t want to see you in the house until dinnertime.
I believe there is evidence of this decline virtually world wide. Explanations must account for some cause other than the vagaries of late American life.
That pretty much sums it up.
I see more and more boys who have never been in the sun. Their mothers have been brainwashed to regard it with horror. Sunlight develops testosterone.
I was around for it. Sounds like you want the old way. I’m for treating everyone as an individual, all around.
There is not actual evidence to support a theory that would back up your association, but I suspect there is something to it. That is that with many mammals, for example, there is a pecking order with the dominant males, yes, producing more testosterone. With our old world, which you seem to prefer, men were on top simply for being men. I would guess that to produce at least a smidge more testosterone up and down the ranks.
In my world, where individuals get whatever status or jobs they earn (though if we’d kick out 50 million illegals all Americans could, should they make the choice, afford to marry and raise a family with just one income earner—and we’d probably be much happier and better off with that), more testosterone-rich men would naturally be in leadership positions, but those women who want and earn such roles would be fine and accepted as well.
We didn’t even know what it was, what is it?
You keep personalizing this for some reason, what is your trip?
You can also quit lying and making up your own negative thoughts and claiming they are mine.
Your posts are vague and I don’t even know what you are trying to say but I do detect some anger and bitterness, is it that you liked the feminist movement and its results?
Not just soy, also skip corn, canola, cottonseed, safflower and a few others. The omega-6 Lenoleic acid is the key villain.
Projecting there, pal?
