Vegas was cheap because they made all their money on people gambling. I haven’t been there in years but I wonder if you still get free drinks if you’re wasting money sitting at a slot machine
I have no idea how they fix the problem if they can’t lower the costs and get people back to throwing away money in the casino.

Years ago, you never had to pay for parking. The casinos went out of their way to make sure you had as much money as possible to gamble with.

Ha ha free drinks! They come up and ask if you want free drinks and they make you wait 20 minutes to bring it to you. I have run out of money more than once while waiting for a drink. When you do get one you should ask for bottle beer or they will bring you something that resembles a cocktail but has no alcohol in it. Besides that, you are expected to tip the waitress who made you wait for a watery drink because obviously you are winning at the machine or you wouldn’t be sitting there.

We went to Vegas years ago. We had a free room for 3 nights. I have to say that the savings for not paying for a room were maybe 300 bucks. But every single thing was a hundred bucks. Breakfast? A hundred bucks. Fortunately that was for two. Same with lunch. Dinner? A hundred bucks. Each. Show tickets? A hundred bucks each. Basically it was six hundred bucks a day minimum. And that was 10 years ago.

We were contemplating going to see the Dome. It’s the only thing even remotely interesting in town, except for 6 different Cirque du Soliel shows and Shania Twain. We would like to see the Backstreet Boys show. Problem is it is over 400 dollars for each of us. Needless to say we won’t be doing that. And it has nothing to do with Donald Trump. We just don’t want to spend the money so quickly.
