“”The new reality is not strictly anti-Semitism or anti-Americanism or pro-Russian bias, but a judgment of the world according to a new paradigm.””

A new paradigm? Please explain what you mean by that, and if it’s what I think you mean, how it is “new”.

Carlson was brought up in a religious family (grandfather was a priest, Episcopalian). So how would his judgment of the world be “new”. I don’t know about any differences re: the Episcopal faith, but I can’t imagine it being all that different that Carlson would have to have a “religious conversion” to see the world as it really is. So please elaborate.

It sounds like you’re giving Carlson a huge benefit of the doubt here, and that is the very definition of a Christian attitude. Congrats on that. But I still don’t trust him. Can’t pin it down, but something just doesn’t seem ‘right’ to me with him.

Why should we have gotten involved in Libya? Its not vital to American national interests.

Ignorance is not a virtue. I previously posted a short story of the modern history of the United States and Libya and apparently you could not even bother to educate yourself on the subject with it.

Ignorance is indeed not a virtue. I read the link. So the US had an air base there until 1970. So what? We didn't even miss it when we left due to having air tankers now and that was during the Cold War - which is long since over. None of that said anything about any supposed need for Obama to have gotten us involved there.

Yes, in the Deep South. Not in the Upper South. It was South Carolina, that was the troublemakers. And Msssachuets on the other end.

No it was the vast majority of the South. Virginia and Tennessee voted democratically to secede.

I once read National Review consistently, but they lost me and most of their readership when they chose to abandon traditional conservatism by supporting pointless, never ending wars as our national infrastructure and culture crumbled.

To the contrary, Tucker Carlson has come to embody the common sense conservatism that is at the center of the America First agenda. The political compass has shifted, and many of Mr. Carlson's critics have yet to accept this realignment.

” if you Secede from my Nation, I shall Secede your head from your sholders.”

A sentiment heartily endorsed by King George III, as he urged Parliament and his loyal subjects to wage war on the rebels and traitors (his words) of 1776.

The irony of Jackson and Lincoln’s reasoning was not lost on the Brits.

Discusting that you compare the Founders, who established a Biblical Nation on YESHUA, and Liberty to those who founded a Nation that was founded on other ideas.

Please understand the self-limiting codicils I attached to my comments. I referred to them at least three times as "speculation." Once as "rank" speculation and another time as, "pure" speculation.

As to observations about Carlson's Episcopalian upbringing, I refer to his own comments to the effect that the Anglican church meant to him something much less than muscular Christian faith.

If, repeat if, he had a conversion experience, one would assume some sort of departure from his earlier Episcopalian/Anglican exposure.

He would see the world then as one who experienced an epiphany sees the world, according to a new paradigm.

He certainly insinuates he’s born again

Is there anyone we agree with 100%?

Not me fwiw

I give Tucker high rank even though I diverge with him Israel to some degree
I’ve noticed young white men who tend to be right leaning at least don’t knee jerk support Israel like boomers like myself do

Although they overwhelmingly support them over jihadis

I don’t care for aipac influence much so I do share that with Tucker as well as his disdain for the Blob of which AIPAC is a founding member

None of that said anything about any supposed need for Obama to have gotten us involved there.

Since you continue to move the goalposts I will grant you Barack Hussein Obama. Of course that negates the "Israel, Israel, Israel" story you told earlier since Obama was also an adversary of Israel.

Now you can write about Obama all you want and even sing his praises for ordering the killing of Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan.

So the US had an air base there until 1970. So what? We didn't even miss it when we left due to having air tankers now and that was during the Cold War - which is long since over.

You overlooked the facts; the United States has had significant national interests in the Middle East, predominately as a result of the United States rising to become a superpower during the period of the world wars. The world wide spread of communism locked down our involvement. It was not that we didn't even miss it when we left but that the United States adapted and adjusted to political and military realities. It argued against giving up Wheelus AFB and then acquiesced and Libya invited the Russians in.

Do you have any idea how hard the United States worked to keep Russia out of the Mediterranean (the soft underbelly of Europe) while at the same time stationing hundreds of thousands of military personnel in Europe (which we largely paid for) ?

So now you are authorized to write about "Europe, Europe, Europe."

His rebranding as a conservative always struck me as more opportunism than conviction. Something shared by most of the neoconservative movement.

I never thought of him as a conservative per se. I just appreciated his knowledge and insight on political news. He was very astute and I looked forward to hearing what he had to say.
Thank you for the info you’ve provided.
