What if I identify as a lion or tiger? What then?

“Identify yourself by talking calmly so the bear knows you are a human and not a prey animal,” says the NPS site.
Let’s have that NPS Ranger try that with a 1,500 pound grisly bear and see how that turns out. Of course he could always fall back on his 3 oz bear spray canister.
Beware of ‘Gladly’ the cross-eyed bear.
Had a small black bear on my deck a couple weeks ago. I was sitting on the couch watching the Army 250th parade on TV. I looked out the deck door and saw a bear looking at me through the glass door about 3 feet from where I was sitting. Not thinking I banged on the door then opened it and ran after him. He went to the opposite end of the deck, climbed up on the railing. I grabbed a piece of firewood by the fireplace and took off after him. Luckily he climbed down fast and I threw the firewood at him but missed.
Luckily... being for me. Wife just looked at me and said that was stupid. I agreed but said it worked.
We see bears 3 or 4 times a week around the yard but on my deck only twice. We weren’t here the first time but saw the prints and nose prints on the door. I put a double electric fence up around the deck rails which are 12’ off the ground. That apparently didn’t work so now I have anti climb spike strips.
Shxt happens as they say but another story.. no beer involved either 😳
This is from Japan. Looks like the sort of thing they would do.
