Great! I’d love some new John Wayne and Cary Grant movies ... As long as they are like the originals in theme.

Entertainment is not reality.... Note to self: spend very little time in it...

In a similar vein, LOOKER, a 1981 film where beautiful models are digitized and then eliminated so they never grow old.

Why do we need actors anyway? Just AI John Wayne and Bogart.

There’s a Black Mirror episode about this. That series has gone downhill.

LOL. The new Hollywood star is going to be a geeky nerd with insane video editing skill. Square-jawed prima donnas need not apply.

If saying “F***” is the only way you can keep your professional integrity, you’re a piss-poor actor.

Replacing the entire celebrity class with AI is a technological innovation I can get behind. Unfortunately it won’t be long before the AI is programmed to be just as woke as the humans it replaced.

This is just SO damned stupid!

The REAL problem is that for a long time now, writers can't write, actors and actresses can't act, directors can't direct, and movies & T.V. shows STINK ON ICE!

Nothing can really replace a GREAT actor, actress, or writer and CGI has already ruined movies. So replacing everything with AI and CGI crap, will produce.........CRAP!

All of the pining for John Wayne in this thread makes me wonder what movies you watched? John Wayne was a stiff. None of his roles made me think that he was a good actor. He was one dimensional, stiff, and monotone.

Film used to be a very expensive medium. Digital video, including recording, editing, and effects, has drastically lowered the cost of filmmaking. AI will make it even more affordable and accessible. But this may mean we just get that much more content that’s not worth watching.

Where AI could do the most good is if it could help us sort through the bazillion hours of useless content to find the hidden gems worth watching.

AI videos are getting better. I have been watching some short videos that are more entertaining then the big hollywood productions.

Look at these Star Wars and Bigfoot shorts that have better CGI then Superman and a better script. Once you seen one you want to see more.
