Careful, last year I used my CC to buy lunches at one food joint….by the time I got home it had $5000 plus ran up on it…from Florida all the way up north…in less than eight hours.

My Credit Union fixed the problem and stated they lose millions to Credit Card theft…. my new chipped card has had no problems since then.

Never hand anyone your card. Insert it yourself and remove it.

Over three years ago I came home from the hospital after three weeks.

Between a CVS, Shell station and a Circle K that I used a card at, the card got compromised.

I got a call from the credit union asking if I bought 400 dollars of gas in PA.

It got resolved and I wasn’t held liable.

Strange. All my cards have been chipped for years.

Also, I get immediate texts of each transaction.

I purchased a book at Barnes and Nobel in San Diego using my debit card. A month later, a series a gasoline and food charges were strung up the I-15 path from San Diego to Pocatello. The bank thought it was OK until a charge in Utah and another in Grand Junction, CO occurred just minutes apart. Mr Scott was not beaming the user between points. The bogus charges were $780. My bank removed the charges and sent a new debit card. B&N had a card skimmer running in the front desk payment location.
