Florida law and city/county ordinances call pools “an attractive nuisance” and requires you to have a lockable fence around the pool, not just the back yard, so there’s two fences.
An alarm system for an unknown ‘swimmer’ like a toddler falling in, and various other necessities, flotation devices, etc.
Above ground pools (I hate those eyesores) you are required to remove the ladder(s) access when not in use.
I would have the thing filled in if I could get away with it. But then again…I would sell my house and move into a double wide in the woods if I could get away with it.
My wife keeps me civilized, and the grandkids come over for the pool. In a few years they will have their own friends, so that won’t last forever.
