a TREASONOUS CONSPIRACY by officials at the highest levels

I get really tired of the use of this word at least as I understand it. The Constitutional definition of a "treason" is a betrayal of one's country in favor of a specific enemy, particularly in war. In this case with Tulsi, please define WHO is the enemy? Global Government could be, but we don't have one defined as such (and yes, I'm familiar with The Earth Charter, the UN, and the WEF). But none of those claim to be a world government, but are instead associations among them as defined if not in aspiration. Thus, the "enemy" in this case is too ill-defined for a treason to exist.

What they did was a crime all right. It was fraud and criminal conspiracy at least. Violation of an oath of office? Absolutely! It could even be considered a sedition or even an insurrection. But "treason"? I just don't think so.

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”

Giving the enemies of the United States aid and comfort. Doesn’t say it has to be state actors/enemies. The vow required for Constitutional officers and military officers is to protect and defend the United States Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. Seems to me that in that context the word “enemies” specifically includes potential domestic enemies. And those who would fabricate evidence to try to oust the duly-elected President would necessarily qualify as enemies of the United States.

A general “treason charge*” was tried on Aaron Burr. It failed and because of that Justice Marshall (who presided over the trial!) set the bar for treason even higher. The Founding Fathers set the bar very high. Marshall made it higher.

People who throw the word around are in danger of bringing it down to a point where the charge is easier to make. Think what the left would with a low treason bar. The will get back into power the voting public if they are anything they are unthinking and fickle.

Under the statute 18 USC Ch. 115: TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES there are 10 sections, each a separate category of crimes, that are all considered permutations of treason.

2381. Treason.
2382. Misprision of treason.
2383. Rebellion or insurrection.
2384. Seditious conspiracy.
2385. Advocating overthrow of Government.
2386. Registration of certain organizations.
2387. Activities affecting armed forces generally.
2388. Activities affecting armed forces during war.
2389. Recruiting for service against United States.
2390. Enlistment to serve against United States.

Good questions about the definition of treason.

My view (which has zero legal standing) is that the Deep State is real. It is a criminal enterprise. The names discussed in this case are among the key players.

The Deep State is an enemy actor.

Supporting it would be treason.
