Trump is too smart to make this kind of move unless it’s part of a strategy.

Which suggests two things to me:

1) the Epstein information is big enough to risk everything else for it (which contradicts his claim of there being nothing there on its face); and

2) escalating the issue serves a purpose - which only seems likely to me if he is ready to spring a trap on the democrats over this.

Trump is a master of Sun-Tzu and a showman. His big moves are calculated for strategic purposes. This is a show, and I suspect we’re going to see some action soon.

Gasoline on the fire.“

Precisely. His stubbornness is clouding his judgement. I don’t know what he can do to put the fire out now but he is only making it worse..a lot worse.

Unforced error. I celebrate President Trump’s successes. We are a better country because of him and the good he has done so far.

But … this reaction, especially to his supporters, is a bit bizarre.

People naturally have genuine concerns and understandable curiosity about whatever happened and our wanting justice is a natural, normal human disire for those perpetrating sex crimes against children.

Insulting his supporters won’t make this go away. It’s gasoline on the fire, exactly as you said.

The man’s not stupid, especially about human nature, so I have to wonder why he’s chosen this path.

He is right on a certain point, based on some of the venomous posts I read here yesterday. It seems some of his supporters are classifying themselves as past supporters.

I have noticed before; it seems some Republicans, for some strange reason, are ready to burn down the entire house over the Epstein files. The Epstein issue can be resolved without the crazed furor that surrounds it now.

The average poster is poorly informed on this matter
You’re not obviously
But thoughtfulness falls on deaf ears here as it usually does in the face of the sound and fury
I think Trump faced enormous pressure to squash this from a wall of people and entities desiring not to be exposed
Bill Clinton visited 26 times

And it goes from there

Plus the fact Trump team pumped this issue for years including Trump himself

Now we are to believe it was just Epstein and a harem of young girls all to himself

There is a lot more going on than that and sharing that knowledge with the public is being stopped
