One possibility is that Trump is using the Epstein information to blackmail foreign leaders into getting in line with his trade deals and his efforts to end these wars.
Rush Limbaugh used to say the only thing that could break the bond between Trump and his supporters was Trump.
I think saying ‘I don’t want their support anymore!’ qualifies.
This is counter productive on every level:
- It will demoralize a significant portion of his MAGA base.
- It will embolden all the forces that already oppose him.
The Democrats are guaranteed to take the House of Representatives and probably the Senate in 2026.
JD Vance can probably also kiss 2028 goodbye.
This is a weird controversy. Trump says he’s worried about innocents who are tangentially connected to Epstein but have done nothing wrong. But that’s a silly argument. His contact list, Rolodex, at least some flight logs are already out there. So we basically know a lot about who his connections were. What we don’t know with certainty is which of those “aren’t” innocent. Which of the people visiting the island, or his NY apartment, had criminal or corrupt dealings with him. Building that list is a job for FBI.
Who was he moving money for? Knowing that will paint a much clearer picture of who he was, and who his real backers were.
The same people involved in Epstein are involved in al the other things we want prosecuted. Not prosecuting them now means we know no prosecutions ever.
I just want the truth to come out.
It is kind of like saying you got me elected but I don’t need you anymore because you dared to question one of my actions. Not a good thing to say at all.
This sort of approach will not end well.
Exactly. People do not like to be lied to and his reaction, I wear the MAGA hat, is quite dictatorial!!
Stop it Don.
Some unnamed journalist asked an innocent enough question!
Then, Trump and Bondi kicked-off this sh*t-storm with a deflection that was an insult to the intelligence of Trump’s base; which now appears to have fractured that base!
This has to be one of the stupidest actions of Trump. The most stupidest is Amy Barrett. But this is close.
I agree with Trump and still support him (though not his choice of words—remember what happened to Kari Lake when she said something similar). Enough already; I’m sick of constantly hearing about this. We all know nobody of consequence is ever going to be convicted of being connected to this, lose their jobs, or get thrown out of office. Apart from that, it is only beating a dead horse, looking for “gotchas” on those we hate, and salacious gossip.
