VLADIMIR Putin has defied Donald Trump's ultimatum and unleashed a fresh blitz on Ukraine.
The bombing came just hours after the US president warned the Russian tyrant of devastating sanctions and a flood of Nato weaponry unless Moscow agrees to peace in 50 days.

Meanwhile, Kyiv launched its own counterstrikes.
Ukraine staged attacks on military facilities deep inside Russia with a new drone strike on Energiya enterprise at Yelets in Liuptsk region - which makes the chemical-based power sources for multiple Russian weapons including Iskander-M ballistic missiles.

"In the last 18 months Russia has gained about one per cent of Ukrainian land. They are making no success, they are losing thousands of soldiers every single day."
But Putin's cronies dismissed Trump's warning, with top Russian propagandist Aleksandr Sladkov saying: “Trump is trying to scare us with missiles, but this is difficult to do… Trump should be scared.”
“Everyone is trying to push us to turn Kyiv and Lviv into Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”
Sladkov warned that any US-led missile assault on Russia could trigger the launch of Yars, Moscow's main land-based nuclear weapon, with warheads up to 20 times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

When they going to OBLITERATE Ukraine?
Ukraine is a ruthless dictatorship.
Zelensky refuses to stand for a presidential re-election because he would be trounced.
This war is NONE OF AMERICA’S BUSINESS.
Russia has not attacked the USA.
The U.S.A. supplying weapons to Ukraine is madness.
The world is full of rotten leaders but we Americans don’t need to keep making war upon those foreign countries who have not attacked us.
NATO is just a lame excuse for Europeans to try and settle old scores over ancient hatreds from centuries ago. There will never be enough bloodshed to satisfy the lunatic leaders of Europe.
“In the last 18 months Russia has gained about one per cent of Ukrainian land. They are making no success, they are losing thousands of soldiers every single day.”
Neocon lies ! Russia STRONK !
And people wonder why Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.
Zelensky refuses to stand for a presidential re-election because he would be trounced.
Complete nonsense. Polls show Zelensky has majority support and would win re-election
There are no demonstrations in Ukraine calling for elections. His main opponents even want elections postponed after a peace deal.
Ukraine's Opposition Leaders Reject Holding Wartime Elections
Ukrainian opposition leaders Petro Poroshenko and Yulia Tymoshenko have dismissed the possibility of elections in the country during Russia's full-scale invasion after media reports suggested US officials had approached them about the idea.
Poroshenko, a former president, and Tymoshenko, a former prime minister -- the country's most influential opposition figures -- said on March 6 that elections should take place only after peace has been established.
"Our team has always been and is categorically against elections during the war," he added.

Trump needs to bow out. This is none of the US business.
>Let’s see if we can ‘art of the deal’ the Russians into returning Soviet nuclear weapons to their Mini Me enemies
You
That’s thinking out of the box, General Ripper.
Wow that hit a nerve. Yep let’s give the Ukraine it’s nukes back maybe even enhance them a bit. It must suck to be Russian
Ukraine is probably the fourth largest arms producer in the world, after the United States, the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.
In WWII, the US converted auto and other factories into arms plants.
Russia almost certainly searches out:
1. CNC machine tools and takes them and the buildings housing them out of war production,
2. computers used to fight the war and blasts them and the buildings housing them into bits,
3. drone electronics and cell phones used to fight the war and blasts the buildings housing them into bits.
All Ukrainian war production & management should be moved out of Ukrainian cities and into small buildings dispersed deep in conifer forests far from Russian missile and drone bases.
The Ukrainian cellphone and Internet systems should be taken out of service so the Russians can’t use them for targeting.
Please, Russian indiscriminate bombing of Ukraines residential areas, has nothing to do with Russia trying to destroy "war production". It is terror bombing.
“terror bombing”
The Russians launch roughly 800 Shahed drone copies at Ukraine pretty much every day.
Ukraine shoots down all but 5% to 15% of them.
That means about 40 to 120 Shahed drone copies can go where they are intended to go daily.
The Shahed type drones carry a warhead:
“Warhead weight 52 kg (115 lb) and 90 kg (200 lb) options”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HESA_Shahed_136
Kiev has about 320 square miles, so that is about one targeted 115/200 lb. drone warhead per 2.5 (320/120) square miles per day.
If one also includes the shot down drones that explode on Kiev, that might amount about one 115/200 lb. drone warhead (targeted/free fall) per square mile of Kiev per day.
As most Kiev civilians need be concerned, the drones are in reality a noisy nightly nuisance. Of course, if the Ukrainian evening news shows images of say 10 strikes daily, the Kiev civilians might get as scared as many American liberals are of guns.
If you are a top-level Ukrainian weapons engineer, arms factory manager or military operations planner, worry, the Russians are out to get you, if the Russians can’t find a better target such as an artillery production lathe or drone component factory.
If that happened, the Russians would be as morally justified as we were in WW II in doing anything necessary to end the war in Ukraine.

“Only crazy people, or russians, believe NATO will ever attack a nuclear armed Russia first.”
On the other hand, consider what thoughts ran through the mind of JFK, probably the soundest Democratic President in my lifetime:
“In May 1962, Khrushchev began to ship ballistic missiles to Cuba and technicians to operate them. He believed that President Kennedy was weak and would not react to the Soviet move.”
https://history.state.gov/departmenthistory/short-history/cubanmissile
I found this online:
“Since 1992, custodial protection of warheads designated for heavy bombers, as well as those removed from strategic missiles, is performed by troops under Ukrainian control.”
“In late 1993, the Ukrainians began removing warheads from the ballistic missiles. The removal, transportation, and storage were provided by Ukrainian troops. This became a watershed, which marked the transition of Kiev’s command and control into a stage of more autonomous and active operations. For the first time, the Ukrainian troops, on their own initiative, physically touched nuclear weapons.”

“49 days left. Better get the tempertantrum out of your system fast President Putin. All your trading partners are going to pay 100% extra to access the US big, beautiful economy.”
Read the article and comments. The Indian diplomat is diplomatic, the commenters aren’t.
The US can get by without India, but not China.
Xi will put his foot down, and Trump might get tossed via Amendment XXV.
More hyperbole from UK Enquirer tabloid.
Trump said at the end of the 50 days he will impose sanctions. He didn’t say he was sending troops.
Grow up little children.
Just like the V1 rockets in WW2 were a "noisy nuisance"? Except for those that killed people. And the missiles that can take out a whole building?
Its amazing how one can rationalize/justify Russian terror bombing of civilians.
