Until/unless POTUS can demonstrate to Putin that he’s gained control over the intelligence agencies he will continue his attacks.
Make no mistake - this is a conflict being fought by NATO and the CIA against Russia, using Ukraine as a proxy. Donald Trump will only be calling the shots until 2029; Putin wants assurances that any agreement won’t be jettisoned as soon as a new administration arrives.
