The fundamental problem we have is a complete lack of accountability. The system has effectively insulated itself against it with layer upon layer of shields and defenses, which of course should not be how a healthy republic functions.
I think people understand this at the gut level and desperately want to see someone, anyone, held accountable for something. The first high profile prosecution could be a game changer — if and when it happens. It will give people hope for the restoration of some semblance of transparency and accountability.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that Trump shares the strong desire for accountability that his MAGA voters are demanding. At least not yet.
Or he desires it but knows that they have to have everything at ready at once when they finally bring the hammer down. The civilian courts can’t be trusted - and especially civilian courts in DC and NYC. That should be evident to everybody by now. Seems like there are 2 ways to sidestep DC and NYC: file conspiracy charges in a place where part of the conspiracy occurred that isn’t DC or NYC, or find that the US government has been taken over by belligerents via extortion and try all the belligerents in a military tribunal.
The military tribunal would be preferable, IMHO, because they can sequester the people hearing the cases (and their families) so that they cannot be contacted by the Deep State/intel community that has our whole society by the jugular.
Either way takes time, and the case has to be built up and ready before it is disclosed to anybody, or the Deep State will take out witnesses, compromise the chain of custody of evidence, take out the investigators, etc.
I do believe that this is what is causing the delay. John Solomon hinted that in the next couple weeks there will be news that MAGA will be happy about, implying it’s about a criminal conspiracy investigation regarding the whole decades-long plot to neutralize Trump. I guess we’ll see. I would like them to go back farther, to at least 2008 when the Deep State fabricated records and committed other crimes to get Obama into the White House even though he was ineligible. We eventually have to deal with all that crap, or the general public won’t understand how we got here and the necessity of the accountability that you mentioned. And the country can never be united until everybody recognizes the coup we’ve suffered, the players involved, and the enabling activities of even people who didn’t realize there was a coup.
