Buffalo News cartoonist Adam Zyglis appeared to blame President Trump and DOGE spending cuts for the deadly floods
A political cartoonist for Buffalo News spurred outrage for appearing to mock victims of the devastating flash floods in Texas on Monday with a cartoon depicting a drowning Trump supporter.
"Historic flash floods have struck Southern Texas, with at least 82 deaths and dozens more missing," a caption for the cartoon read.
The image showed a man wearing a red MAGA hat being submerged under floodwaters in Kerr County, Texas, while holding a "HELP" sign. There is also a speech bubble of the man saying, "Gov’t is the problem not the solution."
Text at the top of the cartoon read, "Swept Away..."

Statistically, you are correct. Mental illness is very common with ‘liberals’ especially young women liberals. Yet, there seems to be more than just illness. There seems to be many who are ‘morally’ bankrupt which seems to eclipse the ‘illness’. I have noted, that many of the ‘socialist’ leaning liberals/democrats, when questioned, tacitly admit that they want ‘government’ control. They believe that ‘they’ and ‘there values’ will then be able to implemented against those that disagree. For them, it’s really a power and control kick, and not about ‘helping’ anyone but ultimately themselves.
One of the five states that deliberately murdered thousands of poor, innocent elderly residents of nursing homes during the communist left’s plandemic and let those directly responsible go scott free has no business criticizing or making fun of a tragedy like this. New York is evil to their core.
