A distraught Florida mother screamed at the top of her lungs and swore at a judge for nearly four minutes after her son's killer was handed a shockingly light sentence.
Deidre Wade jumped out of her seat in a West Palm Beach courtroom on June 16 after Circuit Judge Richard Oftedal sentenced Cemari Daniels, 23, to 12 years behind bars for fatally shooting her 17-year-old son Jaleen Snead.
Daniels faced life in prison, but jurors chose to convict him of manslaughter instead of murder.
Daniels shot and killed Snead in the backseat of a car at an apartment complex on December 8, 2021.
A second unidentified teenage boy, 16, was also shot and left wounded after Daniels, who was 20 at the time, exited a 2017 Ford Expedition and attempted to rob Snead of his handgun before shooting him at close range, police said.
After Judge Oftedal determined how long Daniels would pay for the crime, Wade screamed: 'It don't make sense for the judge, the jury, the detectives. It don't make ******* sense for them to do all that work and then y'all do some sh** like that.'
A brief moment of silence rang out in the courtroom before Wade continued on about how her son was treated 'like a piece of trash' and '******* road kill.'
Oftedal sat in silence and did not interrupt the upset mother. He also did not acknowledge her response afterward, The Palm Beach Post reported.

Since democrats are convinced that some people are too stupid to be able to get a voter ID, so they are probably also too stupid to figure out that if you shoot somebody at close range, that will probably result in death. As a result, the jury settled on manslaughter.
DEI rules the courts...
A judge can overrule a jury’s decision.

Why don’t the mom’s and son’s last names ever match in these cases?
The mom is right.
AMEN!!! They NEVER DO!! SAD.
Because the entire sub group of humans live ready to kill you if you have something they want or you dont lower your eyes when they come near.
there are times when you should do something, like right now, the momma should STFU.
The dead 16 y.o. was a thug and died doing what he loved.
Assuming he was really guilty of murder, these jurists just let someone off the hook who wouldn’t hesitate to shoot them or their family members.
Sounds like thug on thug, honestly. I don’t care if a thug kills a thug or a nun. No discounted murders, put them away and spare the rest of us.
” no mother should ever have to be told that her son has been killed.”
makes no sense, happens every day, walking across the street, work related, accidents, etc, let alone a teen having a gun on his person in a car with another young gun holder.
too many people want to think life is all rose colored glasses and want to live in protected bubbles of feel good things.
Mamma just wait until the prison system lets him out early for good behavior.
Zing! LOL!
When 70 percent of all head of households in the black community are fat, lazy, loud, know nothing black women who have no clue where their many children are and what they’re doing...this is the result. Live with it.
Yes. And then the Appellate Court will overrule the Trial Judge, reinstate the acquittal on the murder charge, and write a pithy opinion describing the Trial Judge’s idiocy in not understanding that an acquittal cannot be overturned.
A judge can throw out a conviction they believe is not supported by the evidence. But a judge cannot overrule a jury's decision not to convict someone.
The purpose of a judicial system is to protect the population from vigilante justice. As unreasonably light sentences proliferate, as police presence diminishes, we will witness an inevitable increase in incidences where aggrieved parties mete out frontier justice. And when juries refuse to convict these vigilantes, the government will finally realize they have surrendered total authority.
“DEI rules the courts...”
The jury was DEI?
It’s a wonder the judge didn’t sentence her to jail time for her outrage. I’m with the mother.
