I’m not going to get into the weeds on this except to state that doctors USED to ask such a question, re “regularity.” This bone has been grinding at me for quite some time.
‘Regularity’ is a prime indicator of endocrine and digestive health pertaining to ORGAN function (i.e., liver & pancreas among them, not just your damned intestines related to gluten and/or fat intake).
Don’t believe the BS labels associated with digestive problems and DO NOT self-treat by reading social media posts on gluten-free BS etc.
If your regularity changes dramatically, see a doctor. If the doctor doesn’t recommend radical lifestyle changes absent a dreaded diagnosis - OR hands you a scrip for any pill whatsoever - FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR (I recommend a Naturopath).
Ignoring digestive ‘hints’ your body provides by rationalizing or self-treating can be debilitating (as in losing organs or length of colon) or downright deadly.
(FReeper autodidacts such as myself will likely be nodding in agreement while others are sure to blast my comments due to biased experiences. So be it).
Don’t rationalize/ignore symptoms. Don’t trust MDs. Be healthy & smart. Or don’t. Free country/Free advice.
Just don’t expect me to pool for the healthcare of the reckless & stupid (like some with whom I’ve lived & worked).
You are correct. It’s something no one wants to discuss, but your urine and bowels are huge indicators of overall health.
Yes, I had an older doctor ask those questions. The younger ones never do..............
