Interesting that they only mentioned “truth” and “justice”.

You have to note "Truth, Justice and the American Way" was used during the period of HUAC and McCarthy Hearings, when so many commie writers were scurrying about hiding under pseudonyms while trying to earn money (delicious irony). No better cover than beating the drum of patriotism.

Richard Donner and subsequent directors kept it up during the Christopher Reeve era. It was "Superman Returns" where they had Perry White say "Truth, Justice and that other stuff". Hey now - that movie's Lex Luthor was played by pedophile Kevin Spacey. Hmmm.

And now this deviant Gunn wants to say 'humanity'? Seems to me he couldn't put a chick in it and make her gay, but DID have his hero appear lame.
