Richard Donner and subsequent directors kept it up during the Christopher Reeve era. It was "Superman Returns" where they had Perry White say "Truth, Justice and that other stuff". Hey now - that movie's Lex Luthor was played by pedophile Kevin Spacey. Hmmm.
