Well no doubt the NEA has their pom-poms and union dues cheering this guy on.
The NEA thinks they are the SCOTUS of education, and have their minion teachers pushing their radical agenda, parents be damned.

I don’t know how many children are Home Schooled in NYC, but this demon would want that eliminated, for sure.

Government schools have been going downhill since at least the 1950s. That’s 75 years of straight decline, at least. It has to be deliberate. Teaching basic stuff is simply NOT that hard. Yet we get worse and worse at it. By design. And here with Mamdani, we see it in action once again.

“invest in a fully funded public school system”
Trillions have already been invested in public schools. Left wing, overpaid administrators and teachers don’t even pretend to educate anymore. Defund public education. We have to burn the village to save it.

He’s probably right about the vouchers, though that doesn’t need to be the case.

Good way to drive even more families out of New York City.
He can have his own little fiefdom with whatever is left - including NO tax base - as he begs Donald Trump to bail him and his city out.
Can’t wait to see Trump laugh in his face.

If I remember correctly, 80% of PS “grads” in NY can’t read. So what’s the harm in 90%?

One cannot speak of "failure" unless one is clear about what he is trying to accomplish.
That said, he is going to succeed.
