illegal fireworks saturate all of LA County, it feels like a war zone with mortars going off overhead.
Our band was in Bridgeport CA for the 4th of July and some of the civilians were shooting off industrial strength fireworks all over town prior to the actual town fireworks show over Bridgeport Reservoir. Don’t know if anyone got damaged but it was a little disconcerting. Lots of littles out and about. On the way back to Reno we saw a nasty fire on the west side of Carson City in the Mountains. Haven’t heard if it was fireworks related.
....as one of my former co-workers used to say, there is no cure for stupid.....BTW, in that area, are there any LEGAL fireworks...?? here in Central Texas many jurisdictions have outlawed all fireworks.......jus’ askin’ ....

Apparently, the days of so-called safe and sane fireworks in California are over.

I think it varies city to city as far as “Safe and Sane” fireworks, but there is nowhere in California I am aware of that allows any type of firecracker, bottle rocket or other explosive types like the mortars....except perhaps an Indian reservation.
