People should have figured out by now that Trump uses public theater to distract from important work going on beneath the surface. "Kayfabe" creates the illusion of personal conflict that masks how the supposed "enemies" are working together to reach a common goal. And to be clear, none of us has any idea what Trump and Putin said in their phone conversation.

Russia is cleaning up the mess that our nation-building zealots created in Ukraine with the intent to destabilize and topple Russia's government and break it up into many small and exploitable nations. That scheme failed because of Vladimir Putin, and now Russia is methodically demilitarizing and de-nazifying Ukraine and ultimately preventing a hostile military alliance from dominating the Black Sea and deploying its land forces within 300 miles of Moscow. Russia is doing exactly what we would do if Canada or Mexico aligned with foreign powers against us. Putin is not tired of winning, and he will stop when the job is done.

Likewise, do not be misled by those who measure victory only by conquered territory. Dashing for land alone often creates a "tar baby" that may require many years to occupy, suppress, and pacify - a long and expensive proposition that a victor might tire from and eventually abandon. By contrast, Russia is totally destroying Ukraine's means and will to fight even while NATO stubbornly doubles down on its failed gambit by emptying its own stocks of weapons and ammunition.

When Ukraine finally collapses militarily, areas within its artificial boundaries which are historically Russian will return to Russia, those that are Hungarian will return to Hungary, and those which are Polish will return to Poland. What will remain of Ukraine will be a landlocked rump state that will no longer threaten Russia with the meddling of hostile foreign powers.

Trump wasn’t looking to stop before he busted Iran’s bunkers either.

Russia is cleaning up the mess that our nation-building zealots created in Ukraine

This is Putin signing a treaty with Ukraine, the 2003 “Treaty Between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the Russian–Ukrainian State Border”. It set Ukraine’s borders as they were in 1991 & was lodged with the UN.

Its why Finland dropped 75 years of neutrality with Russia and quickly joined NATO, its treaties with Russia were worthless.

And exactly how was an independent, westward looking Ukraine going to destabilize and topple Russia's government? You are overlooking the fact that Putin and his fellow Russian nationalists have always had eyes on Ukraine. They invaded, not because they feared NATO, but because they did not and thought they could get away with it.

Yes, and the very next year (2004) we instigated the failed Orange Revolution to topple Ukraine's government. The second attempt succeeded in 2014 and outlawed the Russian language among the many millions of native Russian speakers. For the next eight years, we armed Ukraine to the teeth and trained it to NATO standards to fight Russia. It was never any of our business, but here we are. Their fight, not ours.

Democrats always dump huge messes in the gop’s lap, then their MSM makes them the gop’s fault.

Kiev was Russia’s imperial capitol, so there’s that.
How about “re-become”?

If you see the word “ Kyev “ it’s a globohomo waving a rainbow flag.

Right Russia, which has thousands of nuclear warheads pointed at us, is none of our business. Okay

outlawed the Russian language among the many millions of native Russian speakers

Complete myth. Law was passed that required education to be in Ukrainian and media had quotas of Ukraine content, which makes sense. Learn the language of the country you live in.

BOTH sides tried to influence Ukraine, Putin even tried to assassinate Ukraines president in 2004.

Unfortunately, for Russia, no country in Eastern Europe wants to join some poor Russian-BananaStan Economic Group(CIS) vs the much wealthier EU.

Why would he? Ukraine has ridiculous demands for peace. Nobody is serious about peace anymore. Zelensky had his chance to put Putin on the hot seat but continues to operate under the illusion Ukraine is winning and will eventually expel Russia from the gains made by Putin.

Ukraine has ridiculous demands for peace.

Ukraine agreed to the US proposed 30 day total ceasefire, which Putin rejected.

Putin demands for a ceasefire; Ukraine must give over land it currently controls, must stop all training, must stop getting aid and intelligence from the West.

Only ONE side has ridiculous demands-Putin

“Putin thinks Ukraine/NATO has been looking to destroy Russia for years.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So, according to the logic you described if you lived in a neighborhood surrounded by other families, and you thought they didn’t like you, would you hire hitmen to kill them all and burn their houses to the ground just in case? All because your imagination convinced you they might become dangerous someday? That is what Putin did against Ukraine.

“...and you thought they didn't like you...

Pathetic, stop being disingenuous. Putin could see the preparations to take him down and he acted first.

You are apparently living in a full-blown fantasy world — a swirling vortex of pure delusion. There was never any NATO troop build-up to invade Russia. None. Zero. Zilch. The idea that NATO was plotting some grand invasion is beyond crazy; it’s absolute, unhinged delirium. You’d have to be catastrophically gullible or willfully ignorant to believe such paranoid nonsense.
