Michelle Obama is giving fans a glimpse at "The Look," her new book coming out in the fall. In the book, reflects about how her appearance during her time in the White House was "constantly being dissected" and aims to "reclaim more of that story" for herself.
The former first lady, whose memoir "Becoming" was a bestseller in 2018, announced on Instagram on June 5 that her new book will be released on November 4. "The Look" is her first book since her 2022 bestseller, "The Light We Carry."
"During our family’s time in the White House, the way I looked was constantly being dissected — what I wore, how my hair was styled," she wrote. "For a while now, I’ve been wanting to reclaim more of that story, to share it in my own way. I’m thankful to be at a stage in life where I feel comfortable expressing myself freely — wearing what I love and doing what feels true to me. And I’m excited to share some of what I’ve learned along the way."
Obama, 61, wrote that "The Look" is "a reflection on my lifelong journey with fashion, hair, and beauty."
"Inside, you’ll find some of the outfits that have meant the most to me, but more importantly, the moments that I lived through in them — big and small, personal and political, historic and ordinary — that were as memorable as the clothes themselves," she continued.
The former first lady is also sharing the stories of her stylist, makeup artist and hairstylists who helped shape her appearance during her time in the White House.
"The Look is about more than fashion," she wrote. "It’s about confidence. It’s about identity. It’s about the power of authenticity. My hope is that this book sparks conversation and reflection about the ways we see ourselves — and the way our society defines beauty."
Is there a more egotistical, narcissistic and self absorbed person on the planet.
Yes. That person is LeBron James.
My first thought as well.
Normal, mentally healthy, mature adults begin focusing on others in their 20s and 30s. It usually coincides with parenthood. Most of the naval-gazing and problems we experience as teens is simply forgotten when you become responsible for others.
These folks, on the other hand, are over 60, have more money than 99% of Americans will ever possess, have lived a life of 0 accomplishments and yet been celebrated as gods, know nothing of actual struggles of normal Americans, and yet cannot think outside of themselves. They never grew beyond their teenage mindset.
And who buys this crap? What enduring truths can one learn from another Obola memoir?
But at least LeBron James has body of significant achievements to be egotistical about. Obama has nothing
Don’t hold back.
As usual, it’s all about the First Wookie.
Is that for real, or Photoshopped?
@MichelleObama
Now do Melania.......
“I very much doubt that all her books are ‘best sellers’.”
With libs, these book deals are money laundering schemes, like Hunter’s “art”.
It takes a real narcaissist to do this.
Horse teeth
in the half price, reduced for quick sale at the Dollar Tree 2 days after release.
Wider shoulders than her soyboy husband.
Manspreading next to girly-man Trudeau
yeah......she had to enhance her ghetto look w/ her horse teeth “smile”.....................
America has a fevah and the only cure is boob belt. More boob belt.
This wretched woman was fawned over by a slobbering media telling us how beautiful and elegant she was as she walked around with that angry sour puss in ridiculous clothes. It took a staff of 20 to make her look even human. She was on every magazine cover and she STILL is so full of hate she complains about it.
Hey mooch, who wrote those books for you? No way she wrote those books. NONE
