Some years ago, I visited a vendor in LA. My plane landed in Ontario CA where I stayed in the Holiday Inn.
On the third morning as I waited for my ride, I saw mountains. Serious and seemingly close mountains.
On the two days before, the mountains were obscured by smog. LA was ther but I couldn’t see it
Smog in LA is not nearly as bad as it was in the 1950s-1980s when “eye irritation” reports were included in weather reports.
