By the fact you are asking this question, you are like me before I took the author path. Let me walk you through what you will learn, if you begin to get successful. I am the only person who walked this path and stayed independent enough to tell you how it works, save for maybe Vox Day (Theadore Beale).
I had a great idea for a political book based on a flash of insight I had in the biological sciences, linking reproductive strategies in animals to ideology. I thought, like you, it worked like we are told, and you write a good book and people buy it, and the machinery exists to facilitate that. But it is nothing like that.
The top of our social hierarchy is all degenerates and criminality. Rep Gary Condit gets investigated over Shandra Levy, and he has semen from five different men in his bed. Lindsey Graham is reported to have a male escort issue, and had a juicy little sidestream of income from USAID. Billionaire Peter Theil’s boy toy took a swan dive off a high rise, and he is really just a frontman for CIA, because CIA prefers their private sector tech companies have civilian faces. The pilfering of our Treasury is beyond measure. Pedophile blackmail operations like Epstein’s are everywhere, and they get more degenerate every day, as society comes to accept or tolerate more degeneracy every day. It is no longer enough to have an affair behind your wife’s back.
And the most surprising thing of all is it is all organized, and moreover, the whole system of our society is organized around the criminality and degeneracy at the highest levels.
You live in a giant, controlled psyop. It appears to be run primarily by something like CIA in the USA, but the command flowsheet probably runs up to old money families in Europe and the mideast.
It has spent decades, building a civilian-spy network like the Stasi, with neighbors in each neighborhood assigned to watch everyone, spy on them, even listen in their houses, and run their children in the schools to build files on the other kids. That is how bad it is at the top. They have to have that level of control.
As the civilian informant network grew, CIA was also pressing into the civilian sector. It began innocently enough, asking something like IBM to backstop a NOC’s cover. But then IBM was suddenly backstopping like 200 NOCs, and rival companies were outcompeting the CIA-supporting company, so CIA maybe used agency assets to give IBM an edge, and then IBM hired CIA executive when they retired, except you never really retire from that work. And then they had IBM preferentially hire civilian informers, and pretty soon most companies were owned by this thing, and filled with civilian informers who were spending all their spare time doing vehicular patrols for domestic surveillance.
Books are a big thing with this conspiracy, and they have made sure the literary agents are in the conspiracy, as are the publishing houses. There are two reasons for that.
In trying to become an author, you are looking to be given a microphone, and some cash from the op’s slushfund. They don’t just do that, because you may see what I have seen and they are not going to just give you the reach of a microphone they own, to expose them. They need to know you are on board, and will keep your mouth shut.
You would prove that one of several ways. Operating in domestic surveillance and selling out your neighbors and friends from when you were a kid would do it, because your hands would be dirty. You could join the Freemasons, and swear your oath to lucifer, and maybe do other things like some child-bride ceremony, or some rumors claim some kind of anal-sex ritual (probably just for blackmail and not really the ritual), and that would probably get you in. Literally you could try sleeping with underaged girls, or doing drugs, etc. If local surveillance liked you, and you are trying to be an author, and you can be blackmailed through something like that, they would report it all and you might get drawn in there because you could be controlled. That is why ever time Hunter was doing something degenerate, he flipped on the video cameras. It was not for him, it was to give this thing blackmail, so he was a trusted agent. Other than that you would have to be family of somebody in, and be vouched for.
The second reason they would not want you is, publishing houses are not really about selling books. From what I have seen their real gig is as a money laundering operation to pay off the more powerful agents of this thing.
The thing is people do not buy books. So when Hillary gets a $5 million advance for a book, that is a payoff of some kind for something, by this thing. In order to make it back, the publisher would have to sell more books than it will ever sell. Vox Day has done the math, and it never works out.
I doubt, unless you have a relative in the conspiracy, you will get any deal. Those are strictly for people in the secret society of surveillance people and others in the conspiracy.
Now you can self-publish, but the problem is, if you are successful, you will get a microphone, and they do not like that. My book was very popular, people came to my website, AnonymousConservative.com/blog, and still do, for news and commentary. I ended up with an audience.
If you begin to see such success, the first thing you will get is harassment surveillance. The local surveillance people will come out of the woodwork, and begin following you menacingly all around. They will listen in your house, and when you talk about them in your living room, they will drive cars back and forth in front of your house, revving the engines, honking the horns, yelling, all sorts of stupid stuff. They might have their kids target your kids in the schools, as that is a thing as well.
I didn’t back down, so the next step is they beam you from nearby houses with microwaves and other things, probably much more advanced. You body will vibrate, and it is basically Havana Syndrome, which is much more common than the media has told you. Here is a page where I recorded some of the attacks. From there, they will begin knocking you out with some kind of beam they have. I have gotten that more times than I can count, and Bill, in the interview above, IIRC, says they did it to his son while he was driving.
Basically the intelligence community took over all of these things. You are trying to be someone with an audience, but they are not allowing that right now, because they are busy trying to psyop the country into slavery, and they do not want anyone standing up and speaking the truth to people.
Honestly, the goal of those in the IC right now is to put everyone in a boring cubicle job, while they raid the treasury and run off with the money. By trying to write something good, you are not in your cubicle where you are supposed to be.

Well, there is a chapter in my book where I share about the time I ran for public office (it started as a joke on live television and soon took on a life of its own). I conclude the chapter with asking readers to consider running for office also, that is what the Founders wanted: a people governing themselves. I tell the readers that America isn't meant to belong to the powerful and well-connected.
That would probably put me on their radar for sure, I suppose.
