If you like Irish Wolfhounds and Great Danes, these would be great pets if you added a little modified Golden Retriever to the mix ...By "the mix" do you mean breakfast or dinner?

Me too. And I asked him hot to murder me.
That 600 pound beast of sin could surely do it if he wanted to!
We played a game of cards instead.

We’ll be sorry we’re playing around with animal genetics.

They are magnificent. God has created his creatures in a way that doesn’t allow crossing of kinds. Kinds and species differ. Here’s an explanation:
Ark Kinds Study and Speciation
A more Biblically faithful version of the kind comes from the Ark kinds study. In reference to the Hebrew word translated kind, it is defined as “distinct groups of animals and strongly implying that reproduction occurs within these groups.”24 In other words, the kind is a reproductive group composed of distinct, discrete organisms.
So, Noah didn’t bring hundreds of of dogs into the ark. He brought 2 of each kind. Those bred and through the centuries they produced multiple variations of dogs. Same with horses or snakes or whatever. For those who refuse to believe the Biblical account. Sorry for you. But it is true. Breeding these dogs is fine. But I promise science will never cross a human with anything else. Or a dog and a cat. Or a horse and a lizard. It is designed not to work.
To: Red Badger
Nice that they provided some scale to the Dire Wolves, by photographing them alongside some yardsticks or other well-known objects for size comparison, as we otherwise wouldn't be able to see just how large they are!

Can’t wait for the old blue-haired misanthropic hippie chick to try and sneak in to ‘coexist’ with these ‘noble kings of the forest’.

I'm gonna need a bigger saddle. Is that a Ghibli production? One I haven't seen?

gene modification - adding in a Golden would make even a direwolf into a cuddly puppy.

We went to the tar pits when we went to LA a few years ago. I was bummed to learn that you had to have a reservation to go through the museum. There was a bum “camping” by one of the pits, so that was interesting to see.

1. Those were real dire wolves. not genetic monsters!
2. There were other critters around that kept the dire wolves in check!

The current dominant species on the planet are docile, not predators. YES, the cattle, horses, cats, dogs, coyotes, rabbits, deer, antelope and elk will be decimated.
