We have hummingbirds here! I had hummer feeders out at the old house & loved sitting on the porch watching them. Just before dusk, the feeders got really busy when they would come in and ‘tank up’ for the night.

I have not put feeders out here - mom doesn’t want them where I want them & I’ve been too busy to resolve that issue, unpack & dust off the feeders, etc. I’ve seen the hummers around so if I put feeders out or had a Rose of Sharon Bush, I know we’d have hummer visitors. Maybe next year I can get the hummer feeders out.

I finally have Hummers, too! Five females and one male that I've seen so far. Ruby-Throated is the only kind I get, here.

I put out new 'squirrel-proof' hanging feeders, today. So tired of feeding the entire neighborhood - and they really waste a lot of seeds! One is for BO Sunflower Seed and the other is for Peanut Pieces. They have the mechanism that closes off the food ports if a heavy bird or squirrel jumps on it, which MomWithHope recommended to me.

Not much action yet, but it will take the birds a few days to figure things out.

I also got one of these peanut feeders for the Woodpeckers and the Blue Jays:

Hoping it's as amusing as reviewers said it is!
