I just grilled steaks — in the air fryer. I haven’t had a grill in years and probably won’t get one unless they come out with grills made for lava rocks again. If I really want to cook outdoors, I do have a crude wood grill but don’t have wood for it right now.
A few shishito peppers tossed in the air fryer at 4 min to go for the steaks was about right. I wish I’d have thrown more in there but it was a last minute thought and a test. I’ll be tossing a few in there with every meat now as long as I have some fresh ones.
I’m just catching up on the thread after the wonderful 5 day visit with our son, his wife, and our two grandsons, ages 4 and 16 months. The older one picked the first shishitos on Wednesday morning which I sautéed with onions, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes and added to the scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast on Thursday. By last evening, we had a dozen more ready, so I blistered them for a little treat to go alongside our grilled burgers and corn on the cob (fresh from the farm 2 days before).
Now I have to try them in the air fryer!
