True or not, Soviet...oops, I mean Russian doctrine calls for the capture of territory at ANY price. The soldiers in all conflicts, since before 1905 know they are cannon fodder. Putin, like all Czars of Russia have no problem losing men and material in order to capture the objective. Remember the submarine “Kursk” sinking? NATO offered help to rescue stranded men but the Russkies took four days to find the submarine and rejected all help. Who cares? Putin, Stalin, Nicholas II?
