I’ll add that Musk, as an autiste, revels in patterns.
He lives for discerning them and the harder they are the more he loves them.
Think Rainman level; he gets a dopamine kick when he recognizes them and focuses on following them to their natural conclusion.
And, like Rainman, the pattern -once recognized- must be followed to its natural end as quickly as possible.

Musk also has the mean$ to create patterns and nurse them to his own ends.
