Minneapolis Dems endorse socialist Omar Fateh for mayor over incumbent Jacob Frey

Minneapolis Democrats endorsed Sen. Omar Fateh in this year’s mayoral race over incumbent Mayor Jacob Frey during a Saturday convention.
“I am incredibly honored to be the DFL endorsed [sic] candidate for Minneapolis Mayor. This endorsement is a message that Minneapolis residents are done with broken promises, vetoes, and politics as usual. It’s a mandate to build a city that works for all of us,” said Fateh, a democratic socialist who is serving his second term in the Minnesota Senate.
The 35-year-old has been described as the “Minneapolis Mamdani,” a reference to Zohran Mamdani, a socialist who won a stunning victory in the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City earlier this year.
After Mamdani’s victory in June, the Minneapolis chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America declared Fateh’s mayoral run to be the next battlefront in advancing their socialist agenda.
Fateh’s record includes an unsuccessful bill to make Minnesota a “sanctuary state” for illegal immigrants and support for a 2021 charter amendment to replace the Minneapolis Police Department with a new “department of public safety.”

Minneapolis has always prided itself as being the ‘Little Apple” a mini NYC. Well they are going over the cliff, like NYC, if this Muslim wins. They like their Swedish ancestors are wanting to learn the hard way it seems.
The sugar industry is in Florida and controlled by Archer, Daniels, Midland. ADM moved it to Florida following Cuba's fall to Castro. As I posted the other day, ADM was behind Prez Clintoon sending a SWAT to Miami to retrieve Elian Gonzalez and send him to his father in Cuba. ADM was hoping to get some access to Cuban sugar.
The sugar industry in Florida, like most agriculture in America, favors cheap and/or slave labor. They argue for cheaper food prices. What they don't mention is the cost to the taxpayer for support services for workers and their families.

Yes, but I understand ADM controls sugar in the food industry plus they use their corporate clout to help that industry, including in Florida, especially in D.C. and FDA. I don't know whether there is a corporate connection between Domino Sugar and ADM.

I haven’t had much time to keep up with the news due to work and house and estate projects. It seems as if I missed a lot. I won’t really have a chance to catch up much until Friday. Sigh.
Developments are happening at a fast pace, I take it.
Well, maybe I can carve out some time Wednesday. It looks as if it will be too hot to work outside, even in the evening.
I’m such a ditz. I ordered some plants online from Wal-Mart three times and only just now discovered the supplier is actually located 20 miles from me and has a retail store.
They probably run in the same circle since both are big players in the ag business. As for sugar the Fanjuls through Fanjul Holdings, which owns Domino Sugar and Florida Crystals, are the largest sugar producer in the world. They have 5 sugar mills, 10 sugar refineries, 5 power plants, 1 rice mill, 1 alcohol plant and 1 furfural plant with extensive sugar holdings in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
Their family fled Cuba when Castro came to power so they, more than likely, would love for the current Cuban government to be eliminated. That would open up their reentry into Cuba via the sugar industry, which has been utterly destroyed in Cuba by the commies. Last I’ve read they had 190,000 acres in Palm Beach county which they used to produce cane sugar.

Depends on what it is.
To stop, prevent or reverse obesity an individual must make a conscious choice to change their eating and drinking habits.
You can have all the meat, shrimp, lobster, butter, other seafood, cheese, vegetables that you can handle.
Much of it is processed and loaded with carbs, useless calories or seed oils like canola, sunflower.
Plus pasta, potatoes, rice and corn.
That's the stuff you don't want to eat, and why nobody actually needs to be fat. But it's cheap and everywhere you look, it's like legalized free dope.
There are now some commercial products that eliminate some of the taboo foods that you would otherwise crave, like ice cream, bread and tortilla/wraps. And tons of stuff you can easily make...like waffles and pancakes.
Also if you cook and refrigerate starchy foods (rice, pasta, potatos) it converts the simple carbs into resistant carbohydrates, which will not cause an insulin reaction.
