Vladimir Putin has been dealt a massive setback after more than 20,000 soldiers deserted the front line in the war against Ukraine – leaving Kremlin forces even more depleted. Courts have received 20,538 cases of service personnel absent without leave, desertion or refusing orders since the illegal invasion began in February 2022, according to Russian independent news service Mediazone.
The majority – 18,159 – were for soldiers going awol, with 17,721 being prosecuted under Russia’s Criminal Code. The maximum punishment is a 10-year jail term. However, those found guilty could commute their sentences by serving in the Storm-Z convict assault units. In its latest update on the European war, the UK’s Defence Intelligence said: “This all runs counter to the official narrative that the Russian leadership values the military service of those who fight in Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine.”

I think China may be anticipating some kind of global internet+ outage. I’ve been DXing shortwave since 1979. Radio China International is on shortwave 24/7 broadcasting international news (as the Chinese government see it), weather, sports, Chinese cultural programs, Chinese propaganda in English, Spanish, Korean, French, German, Arabic...etc.
If the world lost its internet and satellites we would be forced to get our info via shortwave.

One thing we Americans do offer to the world and that’s Christian radio via shortwave in English, Spanish, Chinese...etc. That’s a positive.
Maybe this is why there are so many ‘Russian’ speakers in the Ukraine... They hate Russia and invade the Ukraine... Kind of like Albanians leaving Albania and heading to the UK... Which now likely has more ‘Albanian’ speakers than ‘English’ speakers.
Lets analyze the situation for a bit. It is estimated that Russia has lost 1,020,000 troops so far but only has a standing military of 1,100,000. So they want us to believe Russia has lost 92% of its military? Claims of tank losses around 10,000 and an insane amount of smaller combat vehicles would mean Russia is using horses and mules to carry equipment forward. Sweaterman is going to win they claim. I don’t think so and never have. They are blowing smoke up our skirts to make us feel good when in reality Russia is sitting in fortified positions waiting for Sweaterman to send troops at gunpoint to fight a war they don’t want.
