"Shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods"
I guess he’s never heard of the equal protection clause in the Constitution. No surprise.

Plenty of whites in the outer boroughs. Staten Island, the outest borough, is also the whitest borough.
And Manhattan is full of rich foreigners who buy part-time second homes in NYC. Many from Europe and Israel, but also many from Muslim and colored nations, e.g., Saudis, Gulf states, Indians, Japanese, Chinese, etc. Lots of rich foreigners of color in Manhattan.
I always love to hear a democrat talk about paying a fair share. The original constitution had no income or property taxes. That is my fair share.

Many moons ago, El RushBo pointed out a democRAT mayor who found out that Rush left NY due to the high taxes. The idiot mayor said something close to: “if I’d have known it would make Rush leave, I would have raised the taxes sooner.
Several Mayors later, the new mayor openly stated that the rich are paying most of the taxes. If we keep chasing them out of NY, there will not be enough $$$.
