Text from the CIS link:

"Immigration enforcement today:

(1) The president is unable with regular forces to implement laws of the United States:

(2) More than 15 million illegal aliens are in the U.S.

(3) 3.6 million backlog in immigration court.

(4) 1.4 million aliens have final removal orders, yet remain at large.

(5) Millions of removable aliens were released by the Biden administration, and ICE has no knowledge of their location.

(6) ICE has only 6,000 officers to manage enforcement nationwide."

“2) More than 15 million illegal aliens are in the U.S.”

Oh please. Try at least 30 million and don’t for a minute believe they want to get rid of them. They’ll eventually call for amnesty.

” This act, often referred to as the “Reagan Amnesty,” allowed undocumented immigrants who had entered the United States before January 1, 1982, to apply for legal permanent residency if they met specific requirements. These requirements included continuous residence in the U.S. since 1982, good moral character, and the payment of application fees and back taxes. Approximately 3 million undocumented immigrants were granted legal status under this program.”

Weak but a National Chamber of Commerce dream.

Yes it can be construed that the military can be used to enforce immigration law and policy. Just remember though that once that genie is let out of the bottle how do you put it back? There may come a day when use of the military might be construed as allowable against an issue we hold near and dear.

As I have posted before, Trump should create a Border Guard under similar organization as the Coast Guard. They would be DHS in time of peace, but could be placed under the military in time of war. Just as he did with Space Force, he could transfer personnel and funds from existing organizations. Space Force was carved out of the Air Force, and Border Guard could be carved out of the Army, ICE, CBP and other organizations.

Biden, or his staffers, set up an invasion of our country over an open border.

There is no immigration law. There are immigration policies implemented by the current administration.

US Constitution

Article IV; Section IV:

...The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence....

That should cover both illegals, and transtifa.

...and yes, they have been used on U.S. soil in the past to suppress insurrection in the past. Check your local library (or Google) for verification.

Isn’t preventing invasion the first and most important role of the military? Some would argue it’s the ONLY role of the military.

It can run detention centers, do processing and provide security/transportation for deportation.

Actual street arrest? No.

But it can free up officers to do that.

Can the military enforce immigration law, yes. Should the military enforce immigration law, No. The biggest problem with using the military in that fashion is that relatively few members of the military have appropriate training for the required duties.

No need to bring in the military. Just start requiring employers to use e-Verify and fine them thousands of dollars per illegal they hire. If the jobs dry up the illegals will self-deport. That keeps our troops free to do their job: protecting America from military threats.
