Russia Seizes Strategic Ukrainian Lithium Deposits, Escalating Global Resource Tensions

Highlights:

-Russian forces have captured key Ukrainian mineral assets, particularly the Shevchenkivske lithium deposit in Donetsk Oblast.

-The seizure potentially disrupts global supply chains for critical minerals essential to green energy and technological industries.

-Ukraine’s estimated $14.8 trillion mineral wealth is at risk, with significant implications for international economic stability.

So sad, to bad.

Funny thing. Sometimes it’s better to negotiate when someone gives you the opportunity the first time. Trump went to Putin in good faith, and Vlad the Invader stonewalled him. Maybe Vlad learned something from Syria and Iran. Maybe not, but testing Trump hasn’t turned out well.

China signed the trade deal so now Russia has permission to stop the war. I firmly believe that part of the reason Zelensky and Putin continued the war was to inflict political damage on Trump. When there was no political damage to speak of they have now both decided to come to the table. The war will be over in a few months.

Putin can come to DC. Enough of Trump traveling to these third world dictatorships.

Interesting. Nobody should fool themselves into believing the effects of the strike on Iran are limited to Iran alone. Trump’s position with Iran was an object lesson for other leaders around the world. If you choose the path of cooperation and compromise with the U.S., it will go better for you than if you don’t.
