Of course the last time USPS tried to get a new fleet that got blocked.
They're in process of replacing them all with AC trucks. It will take years, but they're approved and under way. However, they remain unprofitable, and UPS/FedEx continue to use non-AC trucks due to the massive cost savings and having to compete in the open market rather than be allowed to function with billions in losses like the USPS.

The government isn’t supposed to be profitable. And USPS wouldn’t be nearly as deep in the red if they didn’t have to pay for retirement 20 years in advance. Congress forced them down that path. And UPS trucks are now air conditioned, and FedEx is converting. Torturing your employees is never a good plan.
