The “discovery” uses a false idea - that no natural basis can exist for the repetitive aspect of the observed phenomena.

Scientists like to think they know everything and too often assume their level of knowledge is sufficient to understand something, when time after time later scientific advancement that fills in knowledge gaps proves the earlier “finding” as wrong.

So if I read this correctly they are detecting repeating pulses of coherent light. I’m not sure that coherent light occurs naturally.
