Get a Declaration of War.
Trump ignored that part. <{P> The power to make war is in the Legislature, not the Executive.
The reason the Framers put the power to go to war in the Legislature was to avoid taking a divided country to war.
In the recent past our cowardly political class has avoided making the decision to make a formal declaration of war and passed Joint Resolutions giving the president war powers (War on Terror).
As a result the United States has been at war constantly with a populace deeply divided about these wars.
Trump should have at least gone to Congress for a Resolution to Commence Hostilities to Contain the Iranian Threat (or some other politically correct name).
