No sea creature inspires terror – rightly or wrongly – as much as the white shark does.
With its sleek body optimized for hunting, razor sharp teeth, and its (somewhat undeserved) reputation for enjoying human flesh, the 'great' white (Carcharodon carcharias) is widely regarded as one of the ocean's top predators.
And that's true, it is – but there's something even the great white fears.

50 years ago yesterday, Jaws was released. Watched it again last night. What an incredible movie.
That is a good one considering it is the 50th anniversary of release of “Jaws”.

orcas are threatening the eco balance, without the sharks, what will keep the seal population down... my guess is seals have livers too, and those orcas will start to feast on them...

Sorry, no sympathy for Great Whites. They’re scary and Orcas are beautiful. The food chain will adapt.
There are videos of Orcas picking seals off the beach, when they stay too near the surf line.
In at least one pod of Orcas around the Atlantic entrance to the Med, juveniles have taken up harassing yachts.
I have watched it at least 20 times and it never gets old.
I just had liver (veal) and onions (vidalia) the other night. It was delicious.
Get some protesters out there pronto for leaving a carcass footprint. What’s this world coming to? Responsible white shark eating only! Get grandpa and grandma out of the nursing homes for this one.
