Getting Khamenei to agree to an unconditional surrender would be a big win. And if he makes it clear that he will not do that ... perhaps his replacement will.
I’m thinking of the cartoon verson of “volunteering” where everyone takes a step backward...
I’d be fine if the Mossad just pops him. Maybe Netanyahu is right and that will end it - cut off the head of the snake.
Exactly.
In any case, they’ll lie about it as they always do to infidels, since that’s standard practice and permitted by their so-called *religion*.
That brings up an interesting point. Is Khamenei more valuable alive or dead? Alive, he can sign a surrender and give it whatever legitimization his office still holds. Off him and we have to deal with somebody else - who? And would that individual's signature be considered valid by the country?
Reminds me a little of the considerations with regard to Emperor Hirohito in 1945. Yep, he deserved a noose but it turned out was the only one who could stop the fighting.
But they're a long way from surrender in Iran. Too many people who know what might - would - happen to them if they give up power. This thing's a long way from over.
