I have no problem with the U.S. getting directly involved with the destruction of Iran’s regime. No ground troops, but a couple MOABS dropped here and there, utilities, ships, refineries, etc. Carlson sounds like a damn drama queen. Iran’s regime is going to be history, and that’s a beautiful thing.
+1
If Israel wants to buy MOABS and the planes needed to drop them from us, that’s fine. Let’s not get into another proxy was like we’ve been involved in, in Ukraine by supplying money and weapons without remuneration.
I am no fan of what became of the WoT, but it maddens me greatly that DJT didn’t negotiate the prior 60 days from a ‘position of strength’ by having 3 carriers in the region before the Israeli onslaught.
It’s as though this was the plan all along and I don’t understand why DJT didn’t just throw down.
Bottom line, there’s still zero evidence that the IDF hit any nuclear assets, suggesting that their intel in that respect may have been egregiously in error.
AND
Even if the regime is ‘failing’ I still recall what happened in Iraq after the power vacuum. Fanatics won’t go quietly; this is potentially a recipe for disaster.
Hopefully the Iranian people step up, and quickly at that.
An ironic update on US intel re the Iranian nuclear program
https://andmagazine.substack.com/p/irans-nuclear-program-somebody-was
“It is staggering then to think that we could be so blind, so devoid of sources of intelligence inside Iran, that we would be telling the DCI, and the President, that there was no Iranian nuclear weapons program, even as the Israelis were tracking the precise status of that program, identifying by name all of the key people building the bomb and ascertaining their precise whereabouts so they could be eliminated by strikes on their personal residences and places of work.

It would be a really good thing to have an Intelligence Community that was capable of providing the necessary clarity on these threats to help keep us all alive. If we don’t have such an Intelligence Community right now, we better figure out why in a hurry and start making the necessary changes on a crash basis before we run out of time.
Somebody was very, very wrong about the status of the Iranian nuclear weapons program. Unfortunately, I am betting it was us.”
